Red Robin Gourmet Burgers Announces Executive Management Team Promotions

Chief Financial Officer Katie Scherping and Chief Legal Officer Annita Menogan are Named Senior Vice Presidents

GREENWOOD VILLAGE, Colo., Feb. 21 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Red Robin Gourmet Burgers, Inc. (Red Robin), is pleased to announce two executive management team promotions; Katie Scherping who has served as our Chief Financial Officer has also been named Senior Vice President and Annita Menogan who has served as our Chief Legal Officer and Secretary has also been named Senior Vice President. Both women were previously vice presidents for the casual dining restaurant chain that focuses on serving an innovative selection of high-quality gourmet burgers in a family-friendly atmosphere.

Scherping has nearly 25 years of finance, accounting and management experience. At Red Robin, Scherping has provided strategic direction for the organization, strengthening our financial control systems, and compliance practices to provide an infrastructure to support our growth. Before joining Red Robin in June 2005, she was chief financial officer and treasurer of Tanning Technology Corporation. She also has held leadership positions with AT&T, ADT Security Services and Tele-Communications, Inc. (TCI). Scherping holds a bachelor's of science degree in accounting from Northern Illinois University, and is a CPA. Most recently she was awarded the 2006 Jean Yancey Award for Outstanding Women in Business by the Denver chapter of the National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO) in partnership with the Denver Business Journal.

Menogan has 24 years of experience in corporate law in the areas of governance, securities, mergers and acquisitions both as in-house and outside counsel. At Red Robin, she has enhanced our corporate governance processes and played a pivotal role in our recent merger with Great Western Dining providing leadership and direction. Before joining Red Robin, Menogan was the vice president, secretary and deputy general counsel for Molson Coors Brewing Company in Denver and Montreal, Quebec. Menogan has held leadership positions with several Colorado legal organizations including current positions on the board of Colorado Lawyer Trust Account Foundation and Colorado Board of Law Examiners. She is also on the attorney regulation hearing board of the Colorado Supreme Court. She holds a law degree from the University of Denver and a bachelor of fine arts degree from the Academy of Arts College in San Francisco.
