Red Robin Gourmet Burgers Awards $89,000 to Its Bi-Yearly Scholarship Fund Winners

Casual Dining Chain Rewards Its Team Members for 'Continually Seeking Knowledge'

GREENWOOD VILLAGE, Colo., Feb. 1 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Red Robin Gourmet Burgers, (Red Robin), is proud to announce 89 of its team members nationwide received $1,000 from the Red Robin Scholarship Fund. Red Robin is a casual dining restaurant chain focused on serving an innovative selection of high-quality gourmet burgers in a family-friendly atmosphere.

In order to be chosen as a scholarship recipient, team members had to write an essay describing how the scholarship would further or continue their education. Winners were selected by their general managers to receive the honor based on the merits of their essay. Red Robin scholarships can be applied towards education-related expenses, such as school tuition reimbursement, living expenses, books, matriculation fees or self-development. A list of local winners is available upon request.

The Red Robin Scholarship Fund awards team members twice a year, once in December and once in July. In 2006, Red Robin awarded scholarships to 189 team members. Since 2002, the company has provided $611,000 in scholarships to 617 team members from across the Red Robin system, including those awarded scholarships in December 2006.
